I was offered a job in the Boston area and had to move from Oklahoma to Boston in less than a month. Through happenstance I came across Lake Manchaug and they got me in on short notice. The experience here was wonderful, Karen treated me like family from the moment I stepped foot on their property. The ground is extremely well kept and the area is absolutely beautiful and serene. I would recommend this place to anyone and would absolutely stay again.

I'm looking for a campground for my fiance, my dog, and our new trailer. Searching through their rules, I always go to the pet section. You have to pay a $20.00 fee that may be refunded if you had no problems? Pets aren't allowed on holiday weekends? And here's the craziest rule... "Pets are to remain on site at all times. No dog walking within the campground." What?? Plus breed restrictions. We will not be camping there...

I concur with the other gentleman they are greedy, so greedy to the point no one would believe it unless you stayed even a few guests complained about the greed. How he stays in business who knows

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! It's super expensive, no activities for kids and MONEY HUNGRY OWNERS!!!!!!!!!

Keep driving! My family and I stayed there for almost 3 seasons. We have decided to leave because there is very little to do for kids, it's mostly older folks. That's when Bill and Karen showed their true colors. Every time we made a payment we would pay with a check but with the last payment they demanded cash on Sunday and wouldn't release our camper with a payment by check. Another problem was that we had severe water damage after winter and we could not stay at the campground because the whole floor had do be replaced. When we asked Bill if this could of happened when he was cutting out 3 trees from our site he claimed it was storm damage "because he was there when it happened" (during the storm?). If Bill knew about the damage, why weren't we notified before the floor got completely destroyed?

I went to Douglas Camp site as a young girl. My parents names were Herbert & Carol Hewett. My cousins the Bishops of Uxbridge also attended. I am Miriam Hewett.
